For nearly a century, IIHR researchers have studied the science and technology of water management. From the impact of floodwaters after heavy rainfall to the way a ship slices through the sea, researchers use field research, laboratory experimentation, and computational modeling to understand, master, and protect one of Earth’s most precious resources—water.
The University of Iowa Office of Strategic Communications has developed a package of stories, videos, and images about IIHR and the vast range of hydroscience research conducted at the institute.
