My research interests focus on flood forecasting, radar meteorology, and propagation of uncertainty in hydrologic modeling. My work at the Iowa Flood Center is aimed to enhance the Iowa Flood Information System by designing tools that allow us to provide river stage forecasts for any location in Iowa. I received an MSc in water resources management from the National University of Colombia in 2007 and a PhD in civil engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain) in 2011.
