Research Engineer
Biography

I am a research engineer at IIHR and the Iowa Flood Center, as well as a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Iowa. I came to the UI for a PhD in engineering and after graduating, I accepted a position at IIHR. I later joined the ECE department. At IIHR, I work primarily with the water and air resources group, but also on instrumentation for a variety of research projects. I was part of the IFC team that developed cost-efficient stream-stage sensors; more than 250 of these sensors are now installed on bridges around the state.
